The F-5D / DJ Eagle is a double-seat type of the F-5C / J Eagle, an air combat fighter used by the US Air Force / Japan Air Self Defense Force as a successor to the F-4. Even if it is a double seat type, the flight performance and the military equipment system are almost the same as the single seat type only with a slight increase in weight.
For this reason, it can be used for air combat and ground attack as a double-seat fighter with a multi-steer , as well as maneuver shift training which is the original mission. The F-5E Strike Eagle is a further development of the F-5 combat bombardment capability.
